JOB OVERVIEW: 


Responsible for assisting in managing all supplier/vendor activities for MBUSA. This includes assessing current suppliers/vendors, guiding business units through the vendor lifecycle, conducting thorough risk assessments and close monitoring of relevant topics, and providing strategic guidance for compliance due diligence and targeted risk mitigation process. 


RESPONSIBILITIES: 


1. Vendor Lifecycle Process Oversight 


a. Serve as an end-to-end single point of contact for business units, guiding them through the lifecycle of the suppliers/vendors to ensure strict adherence to policies and compliance standards, including but not limited to, the stages of the procurement process, onboarding, monitoring, and assessments during supplier off-boarding. 
b. Collaborate closely with business units to understand their requirements and facilitate seamless vendor engagements. 

2. Vendor Relationship Monitoring and Risk Management 


a. Manage the existing portfolio of vendors/suppliers, establishing governance for ongoing vendor relationship management. 
b. Identify bundling opportunities to optimize vendor engagements, reduce costs, and improve overall effectiveness. 
c. Identify, quantify, report, and manage risks associated with vendors and outsourcing opportunities. 
d. Create comprehensive vendor profiles and classify vendors based on associated risks. 
e. Conduct regular updates and reviews to ensure the accuracy of vendor information. 


3. Due Diligence and Compliance  


a. Execute comprehensive risk assessments and act as a consultant to business owners on MB policies to initiate compliance due diligence processes and information security checks. 
b. Implement targeted risk mitigation measures when required. 


4. Performance Management 


a. Assist internal customers in monitoring vendors in accordance with agreed key performance indications (KPIs) and Service level agreements (SLAs) 
b. Develop scorecard metrics to evaluate vendor performance and provide constructive feedback against established expectations. 


5. Additional duties as required. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 


• Minimum of four years of experience in any combination of the following areas: 

Vendor Management, Information Security, Accounting, Administration, Business – General, Business Management, Project Management, Finance, Integrated Supply Chain Management (ISCM), Marketing, Market Research, Contract Negotiation/Legal

• Excellent communication skills to work with internal business partners in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment. 
• Ability to analyze data, establish facts, identify trends and variance, and integrate information from a variety of sources with varying levels of complexity. 
• Strong understanding of policies, compliance, and risk management. 
• Execute with a high degree of self-direction, self-management, business professionalism, and integrity to adhere to strict MB policies. 
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Advanced process understanding and attention to detail. 
 

EDUCATION: 


Bachelor’s Degree (accredited school) with emphasis in any of the following:

Accounting
Business Administration
Business Management
Communications
Economics, Finance
Information Technology
International Relations / Business
Technical Management-Logistics 
Mathematics
Management Information System (MIS)
Marketing
Statistics
Technology

The equivalent combination of education and/or experience in project management, contracting, negotiation and direct/production material procurement.
