Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, creative and passionate Engineer for the role of Functional Safety engineer at MBRDI, Bengaluru having experience in Automotive Industry.

What You'll Be Doing

• Handle software compliance against safety standards, collaborate on efforts, measure results, and provide status reports

• At System level, support in creation/update of the hazard analysis and risk assessment

• Analyze and Derive hardware and software safety requirements

• Ensure that safety requirements have been accepted and implemented by responsible

• Creation of the safety concept / derivation of the safety requirements (incl. acceptance criteria) / coordination of the safety requirements with all involved members

• Performance and documentation of impact analyses in the event of changes

• Execution of relevant quantitative and qualitative Safety Analysis (e.g. FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, HAZOP etc.)

• Derivation of quantity requirements for determining/verifying the HW architecture metrics for the components (ASIL-dependent, quantity analyses for ASIL C,D)

• Creation and release of test cases for the safety requirements

• Preparation of the release of the functional safety scopes in the context of the component release

• Validation of the safety concept in the product

• Supporting in performing confirmation measures - Perform confirmation reviews, functional safety audit and assessments, Milestone gate reviews

• Creation of Proven-in-use argumentation

• Strong collaboration and cooperation with Architects, Developers, Testers and supplier

• Support to maintain work products defined by the safety standards like project safety plan, safety cases, safety strategy, document flow etc.,

What We Need

• 5+ years of industry experience in a related field

• Hold a B.E./B.Tech. or higher degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering and certified Functional Safety Engineer

• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

• Strong skills in communication, presentation and problem solving

• Flexible and autonomous working with global interfaces

• A strong teammate, self-motivated with a positive attitude.

• English business fluent, German (will be an advantage)

Technical

• Practical experience with certifying software against known industry standards like ISO26262

• Experience in requirement analysis and management process and implementation

• Experienced in automotive systems and sub-system electronics architecture implementation

• Background in requirements development and management of system critical systems and components

• Knowledge of Hardware-In-Loop testing is desirable

• Experience with

System level and component level FMEA and FTA analysis.

Requirement management tools like DOORS is preferable

• Proficiency in C/C++ and coding standards like Automotive MISRA or similar Strong background in real-time embedded operating systems

• Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessor, and microcontroller fundamentals (caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, etc.)

• Good understanding of software quality concepts and processes

• Knowledge IEC 61508, understanding on Automotive SPICE/CMMI aspects
