As a Big Data Developer, you will participate in the Regulatory and Compliance technology team.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

  • Business application development (full software lifecycle: problem analysis, technical solution, solution design, development, testing and production upload).
  • Communication with users to understand technological needs and provide strategic solutions.
  • Code optimization and analysis: Threat modeling, exhaustive SAST, Sonar…
  • Planning and execution of projects using Agile methodology
  • Managing the different internal tools to document ALM in all phases of the projects.
  • Support for incidents, including planned interventions.
  • Execution of unit, integrated and regression tests
  • Managing the tools to promote the releases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Telecommunications, Mathematics or related studies.

What will you be doing?

As a Big Data Developer , you will participate in the design of the solutions and software to cover the required functionalities. In addition, you will analyze and solve the incidents that have occurred in our production processes so that we can ensure that we do not have any breaches with the regulator.

We need someone like you to help our client in different fronts:

  • Develop the required specifications, through the delivery of services and technical components required for its operation with a view of your own development and its integration with other teams and systems.
  • Document the solutions in JIRA, Confluence, ALM…
  • Certify your delivery and its integration with other components, designing and performing the relevant tests to ensure the quality of your team delivery.
  • Manage requests to other production support teams.

Responsabilidades:

  • Construir los procesos que permitan estructurar la data capturada actualmente en la plataforma (hoy orientada a uso de aplicación, no a análisis).

  • Procesar y preparar los datos para que puedan ser utilizados en análisis de impacto y visualización.

  • Generar scripts en Python para procesamiento de datos y conexión entre entorno local y Cloud.

  • Configurar la infraestructura necesaria para que los datos procesados sean accesibles desde distintos formatos (Cloud databases, visualizaciones, etc.).

  • Diseñar una primera versión de análisis enfocada en relaciones de red (Network View), identificando las conexiones e interacciones entre usuarias de la plataforma.

  • Ayudar a definir métricas que permitan medir el crecimiento de conexiones y actividades entre usuarias, como base para medir impacto social.

  • Simplificar la visualización de los datos para que sea comprensible tanto por el equipo interno como por usuarias y stakeholders externos.

  • Colaborar con el equipo de desarrollo para integrar las visualizaciones y asegurar que representen correctamente los datos.

  • Interactuar regularmente con el equipo, siendo proactivo/apara plantear avances, dudas o necesidades, además de la ejecución de tareas.

  • Participar en la redefinición del producto mínimo viable (MVP) de medición de impacto, ayudando a simplificar y priorizar métricas clave.

Requisitos

  • Graduado/a o estudiante avanzado/a de las carrerasIngeniería en Sistemas, Cs de la Computación,Estadística o afines.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Robust Technical Skills in:
    • Microsoft Data Factory: Solid experience in designing and building data pipelines.
    • Azure Data Lake: Deep understanding of storing and managing data at scale.
    • Azure: Hands-on experience within the Microsoft Azure data services ecosystem.
    • Databricks: Proficiency in using the Databricks platform for data processing and solution development.
    • Python: Advanced proficiency in Python for data engineering, scripting, and application development.
    • SQL: Advanced experience with SQL for manipulating, querying, and optimizing relational databases.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Demonstrated ability to approach and solve complex challenges with a solution-oriented focus.
  • Inquisitive Mindset & Continuous Learning: A constant desire to explore new technologies, methodologies, and enhance skills.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with technical team members and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

What you’ll do

The Data Engineer is a self-directed engineer passionate about data engineering, architecture, and data sets to enable use case realization at scale. This person can identify and work with data across a variety of formats and make the data available to an equally varied set of customers: consultants, data scientists, AI/ML services, and web-based applications. The engineer fundamentally understands data ingestion techniques and the engineering necessary to push those frameworks to maximize the value of data. This person is comfortable working with, deploying, and managing data solutions using cloud-based technologies.

The Data Engineer is a Full Time Employee role located in Buenos Aires.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain sustainable data pipelines for firm-wide data sets, supporting discovery and consumption.
  • Ensure data access for users, applications, and services to make informed decisions and business case optimizations.
  • Identify critical gaps and develop ETL processes.
  • Be a domain expert in stored data and use cases.
What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience working in Data Engineering roles.
  • 4+ years of experience with RDBMS (e.g. Postgres, MySQL, Oracle).
  • 2+ years of experience building data solutions on Azure and other data / analytical platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience architecting database topologies across a wide array of formats.
  • 2+ years of experience working with complex schemas and managing views into data.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with data and data processes quality and its fit for purpose.
  • Medium knowledge of why/when to use non-SQL, columnar, data sharding solutions.
  • Medium knowledge and hands-on experience with benchmarking and performance tuning data solutions.
  • Medium knowledge and hands-on experience writing high-performance data queries and associated database designs.
  • Low working knowledge of at least one NoSQL database.
  • Low working knowledge of Restful API design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to craft innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal, in English. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making; adept at translating complex technical details to diverse audiences.
  • Desire to actively engage in geographically dispersed teams.
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

Ryz Labs is looking for a Data Engineer to help enhance and stabilize the data monitoring system of one of our biggest clients. This role will focus on building robust, scalable, and proactive alerting workflows to ensure high data quality and reliability across our pipelines. You’ll work closely with our data engineering team to improve orchestration and monitoring across key tools like Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and AWS services.organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement a resilient data monitoring framework that improves incident detection and reduces false positives.

- Enhance alerting mechanisms for pipeline failures, data anomalies, and data freshness across Snowflake and dbt models.

- Streamline orchestration and dependency management in Airflow to increase reliability and improve observability.

- Integrate AWS DMS, Kinesis, and Firehose monitoring into our centralized alerting system.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define SLAs and implement meaningful metrics for data health.

- Document monitoring architecture and ensure knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Qualifications:

- Snowflake: Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and metadata management.

- dbt: Experience creating and maintaining dbt models with test coverage and clear documentation.

- Airflow: Expertise in managing DAGs, handling retries, and structuring tasks for reliability and visibility. Experience with Astronomer is a bonus.

- AWS: Deep familiarity with DMS (Database Migration Service), Kinesis, and Firehose, especially around monitoring and alerting integrations.

- Monitoring & Alerting: Experience with data monitoring tools or custom observability frameworks.
