The Mission

We are seeking an exceptional Principal Architect to join our growing Cloud Architecture &Engineering team. The right candidate is someone who has deep expertise in cloud architectureand is passionate about working with our customers, partners, and colleagues to driveinnovation forward. Your mission will be to work alongside Caylent’s Engineers, Architects,Sales, and Project Managers to deliver AWS solutions across our diverse and forward-thinkingcustomer base. You’ll work with the latest technologies and support customers looking to bringcutting-edge ideas to market.

Your Assignments

● Serve as a technical advisor and thought leader across multiple workstreams andstrategic customer engagements.
● Collaborate with clients to understand business goals and design high-impact, cloudsolutions.
● Lead discovery sessions, create and present technical artifacts, and define long-termarchitectural strategy.
● Guide small teams or oversee larger teams through implementation and delivery.
● Contribute to Agile ceremonies and provide architectural direction across internal andexternal projects.
● Create and share public-facing content that showcases Caylent’s innovation andtechnical leadership.
● Support pre-sales through proposal development, scoping, and technical estimation.
● Mentor Architects and Engineers across projects and practices to elevate technicalexecution and growth.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role is responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and efficient cloud architectures that align with our project requirements and business goals. The Senior Cloud Architect will play a critical role in leading cloud security engineering efforts, with a strong focus on identity and access management (IAM) and overall cloud security best practices. This position demands a deep understanding of cloud platforms, especially Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings, and requires hands-on expertise in automation, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting. Responsibilities:

As a Cloud Architect, reporting to the Head of BaaS Engineering, your mission will be to design architecture patterns and solutions in Public/Private Cloud, ensuring their adoption in the various areas of CIB. You will also be key in automating CI/CD and IaC processes to improve the efficiency and scalability of the infrastructure.

  • Analyze and design infrastructure pattern architectures in the public cloud (AWS/Azure).
  • Develop infrastructure designs tailored to each use case, translating pattern architecture into the reality of each project.
  • Ensure compliance with the group's reference standards for the public cloud and provide feedback in internal forums.
  • Automation and optimization:
  • Automate and develop the infrastructure pattern catalog.
  • Implement and manage IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions.

Your Assignment

  • You will be a mission control specialist, guiding Cayliens and Customers alike through Agile ceremonies like stand-ups, retrospectives, and more.
  • You will translate customer requirements and into a workable backlog of tickets for engineers.
  • Delegate tickets to a team of engineers in order to complete customer projects.
  • Lead requirements gathering, backlog grooming, and architecture discussions.
  • Apply your understanding of DevOps pipelines, including build automation, branching strategies, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, security, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in customer dev, test, and production environments.

  • Architect and integrate popular open source software such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra and NGINX

  • Design and publish joint Reference Architectures and perform technical validations with various partners
