Requirement s:

Responsibilities
- Manage, support, and optimize large-scale, enterprise-level multi cloud and hybrid environments(e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop, implement, and enforce a unified cloud governance framework, ensuring consistency in security, compliance, and cost management across multiple cloud platforms.
- Lead or contribute significantly to cloud migration projects, including on-premises-to-cloud and cloud-to-cloud transfers, ensuring minimal disruption and a seamless transition of services.
- Conduct advanced threat modeling and continuous security assessments for multi cloud architectures and cloud-native applications.
- Design, implement, and manage secure and resilient hybrid network architectures, connecting on-premises data centers with multiple cloud providers (e.g., AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute). Strong understanding of hub-and-spoke network architecture in Azure; Experience in centralized egress design and implementation;
- Implement and manage container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, GKE) across different cloud providers, focusing on scalability, security, and portability.
- Lead cloud financial management(FinOps)initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and implementing cost optimization strategies across all cloud providers.
- Provide strategic guidance to both technical teams and business stakeholders on cloud-native best practices, architectural patterns, and emerging technology trends.
- Drive innovation by evaluating, prototyping (POCs), and recommending emerging cloud technologies that deliver tangible business value.
- Collaborate with leadership to influence and shape the organization's long-term multi cloud strategy and technology roadmap.
- Automate and manage the full life cycle of cloud services, from provisioning and patching to decommissioning, ensuring operational excellence and a clean environment.
- Champion and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Pulumi to ensure consistent, repeatable, and auditable infrastructure provisioning across all cloud environments.
- Design and improve CI/CD pipelines to securely and efficiently deploy applications and infrastructure to multi cloud targets, embedding security and quality gates throughout the process.
- Establish a comprehensive observability strategy using tools for logging, monitoring, and alerting to ensure the performance, reliability, and health of applications and infrastructure across multiple clouds.
- Design, implement, and test disaster recovery (DR)and business continuity plans for critical services, leveraging multi-region and multi-cloud capabilities for high availability.

Cloud Engineer is responsible for developing and supporting ExxonMobil's Azure platform.
Strong architecture and coding skills are desired in order understand the cloud environment, develop scripts, and code automated deployment of resources (PaaS, IaaS, network) in Azure.
Engineer will develop, automate, and implement platform solutions related to our core Azure environment.
This includes subscriptions, resource groups, management groups, and the Azure logic app to name a few. This role allows for direct collaboration with internal and external parties (especially Microsoft) to help design and implement the Azure platform environment.
Software development experience desired, ideally with the following technologies: PowerShell, Python, JavaScript (Single-page app development ideal – Angular or React), and Azure functionality like the logic app.
Behavioral characteristics include: analytical mindset, self-starting, strong collaboration with others, customer focus, and initiative to drive a problem to a solution. Experience working in agile teams and using Azure DevOps for both managing work and deploying via pipelines is a bonus. As the number of applications moving to Azure increases, the cloud engineer will also need to provide base support for the Azure platform environment (troubleshooting issues, assisting customers with problems, etc).
- Bachelor's degree or close to graduating in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computing Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or similar.
- Advanced English skills, verbal and written communication.
- Understanding of Azure Management Groups, Subscriptions, Resource Groups and common Resources
- Experience with PowerShell coding and execution

Requisitos más importantes
- Experiencia laboral formal de al menos 3 años en proyectos con soluciones Azure Cloud Computing.
- Conocimientos avanzados en arquitectura de seguridad Azure y en normativas de seguridad (ISO 27000 / NIST CSF).
- Certificaciones AZ500 y SC200 (no excluyente).

We are hiring an Cloud Solutions Architect in our Alliances team to help our biggest partners (companies like Intel, Nvidia, Google, Dell, HP, Accenture, Tata and the like) understand and embrace our open source platform for themselves and their customers.
Our worldwide field engineering team apply expert insights to real-world customer problems, enabling the enterprise adoption of Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, AI/MLOps and a wide range of associated technologies. We are experts in the whole open source stack, from kernel to desktop, from cloud to the edge. Our team is also interested in business problems - building things reliably, efficiently and cost-effectively, and we have to learn to speak the language of our customers and their industries.
We help global companies embrace public and private cloud infrastructure, cloud native operations, and open source applications. For this team we are looking for several Alliances Engineers to support OEM (hardware manufacturers), GSI (global system integrators), ISV (independent software vendors), Channel partners and Public Cloud alliance partners. You will support various alliances and partners of Canonical to adopt our products and technologies, help business leaders to define joint go-to-market programs with partners from the technical standpoint.

We always want to do the best thing for our partners and customers, regardless of our company interests, and field engineers are the people we trust to ensure that is true.

What your day will look like
- Understand Ubuntu, Linux, networking and services in real-world environments
- Architect cloud infrastructure solutions like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, and Spark either On-Premises or in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Architect and integrate popular open source software such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra and NGINX
- Help partners to offer and architect joint solutions utilizing Canonical's technologies on top of the public clouds and in the data center
- Design and publish joint Reference Architectures and perform technical validations with various partners
- Prepare and run onboarding sessions/workshops with various partners' teams to promote Canonical products and solutions
What we are looking for in you
- Extensive experience with Linux (Ubuntu preferred), Kubernetes, Ceph, software automation
- Experience designing and implementing solutions on top of public or private clouds
- Python and bash understanding, troubleshooting skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High motivation, ability to multi-task and follow-up reliably on commitments
- Interest in customer-facing engagement, including pitching, demonstrating and understanding customer environment and needs
- Interest in new technologies like LXD, Juju and Snaps
- Ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related technical field experience

**Minimum qualifications:**

As a Cloud Solutions Consultant, you will help customers successfully adopt Google Cloud products. You will lead the successful adoption of Google Cloud at organizations, guiding them through the strategic and technical facets of their Google Cloud transformation journey. You'll manage the successful delivery of Cloud Consulting engagements to drive customer adoption of Google Cloud services.
