Join to apply for the Data & Analytics Engineer role at The WFS Group
This range is provided by The WFS Group . Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Base pay range$8.00/hr - $0.00/hr
A Snapshot of WFS Group:
WFS Group is a fast paced, high performance sales agency that provides what is referred to as “done for you sales” services to our clients. Think of a lead generation based marketing agency…. But focused on sales. Put simply, our clients outsource their sales department to us and we sell their services/packages to help them scale faster than ever before while changing as many people’s lives as possible. The main verticals we service are in the online, digital marketing based community with companies that have programs that teach high paying skill sets which is referred to as “alternative education.” We sell a range of transformative programs and packages including everything from business consulting programs, to programs that teach people how to invest in real estate, learn mergers and acquisitions and many many more.
Position Overview
What the heck is a Data & Analytics Engineer, right! Think of it as the architect, the builder, and strategist of our sales data universe — all rolled into one. This role is the nerve center of WFS’s reporting ecosystem, making sure every number, metric, and trend we rely on is 100% accurate, trustworthy, and actionable.
You’ll be building and optimizing data infrastructure in BigQuery, fine-tuning ETL/ELT processes, designing dashboards in Looker Studio, and ensuring our sales leaders always have real-time, crystal-clear data to guide their decisions. In short: you’re the one who makes the data magic happen, so we can close more deals and scale faster than ever.
If you love clean data, beautifully efficient workflows, and turning raw numbers into gold-standard insights — you’re going to thrive here.
You SHOULD Apply to This Role If:
- You’re fluent in SQL and dream in query optimization
- You understand Python deeply
- You love taking messy, scattered data and making it flawless and reliable
- You’re excited about making dashboards so clean and intuitive that sales leaders cry tears of joy
- You enjoy building pipelines and workflows that just work - every time
- You can spot a reporting anomaly from a mile away
- You’re obsessed with accuracy, integrity, and efficiency
- You channel your inner detective to track down and solve issues buried in source data
- You get fired up about eliminating manual reporting processes
- You want to make an impact on revenue without ever having to jump on a sales call
- You’re comfortable working solo but thrive in a collaborative, high-energy culture
- You believe sales data should be actionable — not just pretty
- You’re uncomfortable working with complex SQL queries or data warehouses
- You get bored managing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines
- You think “good enough” is an acceptable standard for reporting accuracy
- You don’t enjoy solving data puzzles or tracking down inconsistencies
- You shy away from learning new tools or automation methods
- You’d rather eyeball data than audit it thoroughly
- You’re not interested in supporting a high-performance sales culture
- You prefer slow-paced environments with minimal change
- You think dashboards are just “nice to have” instead of mission-critical
- You still believe spreadsheets are the only reporting tool you need
- You eat your pizza with ranch (may be flexible on this one)
- Design, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ensure accurate, timely data flow into BigQuery
- Monitor, audit, and troubleshoot datasets to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and completeness
- Build, maintain, and enhance Looker Studio dashboards and reports for sales leadership and stakeholders
- Optimize dashboard performance and eliminate reliance on manual reporting processes
- Conduct advanced SQL analysis to identify trends, performance drivers, and process improvement opportunities
- Implement and enforce data governance and quality assurance standards
- Collaborate with Sales Ops, Integrator Team, and Sales Leadership to ensure seamless reporting alignment
- Partner with leadership to translate data insights into actionable sales strategies
- Provide input on configuration and integration of sales tech stack to ensure accurate data capture and prevent disruptions to reporting workflows
- Maintain documentation for reporting processes, pipelines, and governance standards
- Train non-technical stakeholders to interpret and leverage sales data effectively
We don’t just collect data — we weaponize it for growth. At WFS, every query you run, every dashboard you monitor, and every anomaly you catch directly fuels the success of our clients and the commissions of our sales team. You’ll have the freedom to innovate, the resources to execute, and the backing of a leadership team that actually listens to your recommendations.
Here, you’re not a “back-office” data person — you’re a core driver of our competitive edge. You’ll work with smart, driven teammates who care about excellence, speed, and results, and you’ll see the impact of your work in real-time. If you’ve ever wanted a role where precision meets adrenaline, this is it.

About The Company
Ambient combines a decade of operational experience with design and engineering prowess to improve apartment living and management in the most impactful, cost-effective way possible.
About The Company
Ambient combines a decade of operational experience with design and engineering prowess to improve apartment living and management in the most impactful, cost-effective way possible.
The name "Ambient" embodies our vision to create a category-defining platform that seamlessly integrates smart technology into the built environment and transforms the way people live, visit, and work in multifamily communities. Our focus is on increasing the value of multifamily properties by making them more efficient to operate and more comfortable to live in.
About The Role
As a Staff or Lead Analytics Engineer you are a key stakeholder in decision making across the organization. The impact you bring spans the organization from the product and engineering teams to operations and finance. Your role and that of others on the team is highly cross functional, as this decision support will sometimes span all the way from automating data acquisition to analysis.
This is a uniquely cross-functional technical leadership role; your deep understanding of the technical and logistical trade-offs at play for the problems the team solves will drive discovery, design, and implementation of tools that you and the rest of the Data Team leverage to provide all of the above.
Responsibilities
- Pilot and establish improvements to the patterns our team applies when creating new data models, views, and data flows from a variety of sources to support product experimentation and device troubleshooting.
- Facilitate collaboration sessions with engineers across our stack and distill insights into actionable plans to improve our telemetry collection capabilities and better inform downstream alerting metrics and troubleshooting tools
- Own the continuous improvement of the tools and patterns used within the team to build data quality tests for our IOT device telemetry and ERP system including testing for data recency, cardinality, etc
- Drive clarity on which events best capture the user experience on Ambient web and mobile apps; bring frameworks and data strategies to these cross functional conversations with the objective of taking maximum advantage of both off the shelf product analytics tools and our internal analytics stack.
- Build out standardization for onboarding materials to support business users through workshops, query and dashboard performance monitoring, etc
- Bring repeatable patterns and architecture that make common data transformation tasks easier to design, build, test, and maintain (Ex. aggregates, event sequencing/grouping, time series spines, etc) – including navigating the trade-offs of human-in-the loop vs. full automation for change management.
- Pipeline Architecture: You’ve engineered solutions, from simple to complex, from github to fivetran to airflow
- Expert in SQL: You’ve likely pushed the limits of BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks or similar
- Expert in Data Modeling: If dbt is how you roll, that’s cool – either way we’re looking for a respect for the craft
- Strong Quantitative Communicator: We expect in the course of your career you’ve built an expert level proficiency throughout the data stack from CLI and python REPL to notebooks to BI tools/front-end
- Strong Software Skills and Troubleshooting Intuition: Having solid python experience is gonna be a must; Go/Javascript are nice to have
- Comfortable with ambiguity: You love tackling nebulous problems through discovery, experimentation and iteration
- Assertive w/ Ownership: You act as a product owner w/ assertiveness and clarity – for both upstream data needs and downstream operational capacity
- Curious about People: You dive into nebulous problems and ask progressively better questions as you get more info about the problem being solved
- Curious about Process: You're curious about the minimal information artifacts which need to be captured from a business process or user interaction in order to run an experiment
- Pragmatic about Maintainability: You take pride in the experience you provide to those who read your queries or extend your abstractions; an instinctive understanding of the tradeoff between time and succinctness shows in your work
Ambient Property Technologies Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, disability or genetic information, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
A note to recruitment agencies: Please don’t reach out to Ambient employees or leaders about our roles -- we’ve got recruiting covered. We don’t accept unsolicited agency resumes and we are not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes. Thank you for your understanding. Seniority level
