How will you contribute to our magical experience?

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a team through every phase of the software development process, from conceptualization to deployment, in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with technical leads and engineers across multiple teams to refine requirements and scope work. You will also work closely with project managers to define schedules, prioritization, and roadmap planning. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, translating requirements into tasks that will deliver premier backend services, and advocate for continuous innovation in features and functionalities

The Manager, Software Engineering will be responsible for:

  • Lead a team of software engineers designing and implementing scalable automated validations within a service-focused framework.
  • Develop relationships with direct reports to support career growth and foster a healthy, vibrant environment.
  • Provide technical status updates and insights.
  • Collaborate with backend development teams to improve code quality through issue discovery and resolution.
  • Oversee the full application lifecycle, focusing on coding, problem-solving, and delivering sophisticated solutions.
  • Identify test coverage gaps and work with project managers to plan roadmaps and priorities.

What we need from you to be part of this story:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of professional software development and/or software test experience.
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams or technical projects, with strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong skills in Java, Python and backend engineering.
  • Advanced level of English.
  • Experience with streaming data frameworks and building cloud-based applications (AWS).
  • Experience with Temporal, Kubernetes, GitHub, and Datadog.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive team environment.
  • Experience in the media streaming industry is a plus.

About The Role

What’s the opportunity?

As a Senior Front End Developer you will build high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications, and be involved as technical reference of the team. You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications with big customers like Netflix, Amazon, Nike, Facebook & more!


What will I be doing?
  • Guarantee product quality and best practices as a technical referent of the team
  • Coaching other team members and new hires
  • Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
  • Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
  • Designing and implementing low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
  • Working with micro frontends
  • Implementing security and data protection
  • Working with UX and design professionals in the generation of new products and functionalities
What skills do I need?
  • 8+ years of software development experience with Javascript applications
  • Strong proficiency with HTML and CSS
  • Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
  • Knowledge of frontend technologies, like React.js , Webpack, Redux, css modules, Jest
  • Experience with Typescript is a plus
  • Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it
  • Knowledge of Next.js or willing to learn is a plus
  • Understanding on Server side and Client side rendering and their differences (SSR vs CSR)
  • User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Written and spoken English is a must and spanish
  • Ability to work independently
  • Be a team player
  • AWS knowledge is important
  • NoSql knowledge is desirable

The opportunity

  • Leads the delivery of solution or infrastructure development services for a large or more complex project, using strong technical capabilities and outstanding hands-on experience!
  • Takes accountability for the design, development, delivery and maintenance of solutions or infrastructure, driving compliance with and contributing to the development of relevant standards
  • Fully understands business and user requirements and ensures design specifications meet the requirements from a business and technical perspective

Your key responsibilities

  • Solves complex and escalated aspects of a project, performing coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the development process
  • Provides advanced technical expertise to maximize efficiency, reliability and value from current solutions, infrastructure and emerging technologies, showing technical leadership and identifying and implementing continuous improvement plans
  • Develops strong working relationships with peers across Development & Engineering and Architecture teams, collaborating to develop and engineer leading solutions
  • Provides a leadership role for the work group, ensuring the appropriate expectations, principles, structures, tools and responsibilities are in place to deliver the project
  • Drives consistency to the relevant processes, procedures, standards, technical design whilst supporting the definition, maintenance and implementation of technology standard

Skills and attributes for success

  • Advanced technical proficiency in designing, developing, and debugging solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more of: C#/Java or Python
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, or related field preferred
  • More than 10 years applied experience
  • Significant relevant experience in either an internal or external software or platform engineering role, or similar
  • Technical knowledge and experience in delivering software / platform engineering solutions (depending on specialism), providing comprehensive technical advice and handling user requirements
  • CI/CD delivery using code management, configuration management and automation tools such as GitHub, ADO
  • Proficiency in fine-tuning language models for specific tasks, including text generation, summarization, or question answering
  • Knowledge of embedding models and their application in NLP tasks like similarity matching, clustering, and information retrieval
  • Familiarity with designing and implementing agentic systems that combine AI models with external tools or environments for autonomous decision-making
  • Ability to design robust evaluation frameworks for AI models and agents, including metrics development, A/B testing, and performance benchmarking

Ideally, you’ll also

  • Microsoft/Google/AWS certificates
  • Delivery using modern methodologies
  • Significant proven experience in building application using container-orchestration systems like Kubernetes, and container engines like Docker

PST.AG is seeking a a highly skilled and experienced IT Deputy Head/Engineering Manager to support the IT Head in managing the company’s technology infrastructure, IT operations, and digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a strategic mindset to drive IT excellence while ensuring alignment with business goals.

Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering (Master's preferred).

Tooling/Frameworks: CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, and Agile methodologies.
Road mapping: Break down projects into milestones and dependencies.
Resource Allocation: Assign tasks based on skills and bandwidth.
Code Review & Quality: Ensure maintainability, security, and best practices

Exceptional communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
