We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Hybrid Database / Power BI Developer to join our Process Improvement team. This role combines expertise in database development and business intelligence, focusing on creating scalable, high-performance data solutions and delivering actionable insights through advanced Power BI reporting.

Key ResponsibilitiesDatabase Development
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL-based relational databases and data models
- Write and optimize stored procedures, views, functions, and complex queries
- Build and manage ETL processes to ingest and transform data from various sources

- Work closely with backend developers and data architects to support efficient data architecture
Power BI Development
- Develop and maintain scalable Power BI dashboards and reports

- Build semantic data models with proper relationships, hierarchies, and normalization techniques
- Ensure dashboards are optimized for usability, performance, and scalability
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a database development role (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards and data models
- Proficient in SQL and strong understanding of data modeling principles (e.g., normalization, star schema)
- Advanced knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M)
- Experience with ETL tools or processes such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or custom-built pipelines
- Exposure to data governance and BI development best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Snowflake)
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams

This role requires a dynamic professional who can manage complex projects and foster strong relationships across multiple business units and regions, ensuring Medtronic's continued growth and success in the market, collaborating closely with the Regional Director of Process Improvement & Project Management Office to ensure that all strategic projects are on track to meet both business and internal objectives. You will act leading multidisciplinary teams related to project scope but will not have direct reports. The position is located in Latam (Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina or Chile) and follows a hybrid working model.
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:**
+ Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic projects that enhance Medtronic's market position
+ Partner with the LATAM senior leadership team to drive collaboration and ensure that each project supports the broader business goals, acting as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries and updates
+ Monitor the progress of ongoing projects, ensuring they are executed within the agreed timelines and budgets, preparing comprehensive reports and presentations to update senior leadership and stakeholders on project status, risks, and outcomes
+ Identify opportunities for innovation and growth within the LATAM region driving revenue and market share growth across Medtronic's diverse portfolio
+ Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring Medtronic remains a leader in delivering best-in-class solutions to our customers and patients
**Required Knowledge and Experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, and related areas
+ Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in consulting and / or program or project management, preferably in a corporate setting and large enterprisesFamiliarity with Agile and / or Lean Management methodologies and frameworks, and with Project Management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, etc.)
+ Fluency in Portuguese and / or Spanish, both verbal and written and in English, as a mandatory second language
+ Experience in customer-facing roles, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and relationship management
Familiarity with enterprise software solutions and IT infrastructure; certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PgMP (Program Management Professional), Lean Six-Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.), ICAgile; experience working in the healthcare or medical device industry managing projects across different geographical regions and cultures.

Overview
The Business Process Improvement (BPI) & Operation Support Trainee Specialist at the Cavallerio plant is responsible for supporting and driving Business Process Improvement initiatives to enhance quality, cost efficiency, and service levels. This role involves assisting in continuous improvement projects across all functions within the plant, utilizing BPI methodologies integrated with PPG’s Quality Process, Lean, and Six Sigma principles. The trainee will also support training programs, operational activities, and hygiene management programs, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship.
Responsibilities- Support Business Process Improvement initiatives at the Cavallirio plant by applying BPI methodology to identify issues and assist in implementing improvement projects related to quality, cost, and service.
- Assist in managing BPI projects across all plant functions under the supervision of the EMEA BPI supervisor, ensuring integration of PPG’s Quality Process, continuous improvement programs, value focus, Lean, and Six Sigma logic.
- Contribute to the delivery of the annual improvement plan by utilizing appropriate BPI tools and methodologies.
- Participate in training and mentoring activities to build BPI capabilities and promote operational excellence.
- Assist in planning and delivering BPI training programs aligned with Corporate and European BPI and Quality training initiatives.
- Support the role of Site BPI Project Leader and continuous improvement culture.
- Help implement and monitor 5S/6S targets, conduct periodic field checks, and assist in developing action plans to address identified gaps.
- Support Program Hygienic Management (PHMM) activities, coordinating with biocide suppliers, biological laboratory testing providers, and internal teams, reporting to the Cavallirio PHMM supervisor.
- Assist operations with Bill of Materials (BOM) management, ensuring production BOM changes comply with variations in semi-finished and finished goods based on HALB and VERP modifications.
- Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
- Self-motivated, hands-on, and flexible individual with strong analytical skills, including proficiency in advanced statistical methods for process improvement and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles, continuous improvement methodologies, quality principles, and problem-solving techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively interacting across all organizational levels and functions.
- Demonstrated ability to focus on results, drive change, promote teamwork, build trust and respect, and understand market and customer perspectives.
- Good command of English to collaborate with the EMEA BPI reference team based in the UK.
