The Business Analysis Senior Manager is a senior management-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a business analytic team supporting one large system or multiple systems with responsibilities including work allocation, budget and planning, performance evaluation, compensation, staffing and other duties as assigned
  • Provide direction and technical leadership on complex, high-impact projects and in all phases of the development and implementation process, ensuring essential procedures are followed
  • Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated and unique situations and contribute to formulation of standards and strategies for own area and other functional areas
  • Resolve issues that have impact beyond own area and apply in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas
  • Work as a team to achieve objectives and negotiate with internal and external parties
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Ability to manage teams.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Proven interpersonal skills with ability to partner and influence across organizational lines
  • Proven ability of using complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Fluent English

Our Planning & Analysis team is responsible for a wide range of activities, including financial control, forecasting and budgeting, analysis of financial metrics, and delivery of management reporting.

Job responsibilities

  • Financial Measures: Manage key financial measures such as expenses, headcount, and financial modeling, delivering value-added financial reporting and analysis.
  • Month-End Results: Calculate and consolidate month-end results, forecast for the remainder of the year, and budget for future years.
  • Variance Analysis: Perform variance analysis to understand key drivers of results and provide commentary on changes from prior forecasts/budgets.
  • Reporting: Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting of results and drivers for senior management.
  • Process Improvement: Enhance controls and streamline processes, introducing automation where possible.
  • Project Work: Drive global consistency and create synergies across the team through project work.

Required Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a technical subject.
  • Experience: more than 5 years of relevant experience in the Finance and Planning field.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Personal Attributes: Inquisitive, enthusiastic, diligent, and capable of challenging peers.

Your Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
Ensure the operational conversion of the BPA strategic goals within a dedicated area of the business - Provide management with accurate, relevant business analysis to support monthly operational reviews and ad-hoc requests, and ensure timely and accurate information gathering.

Perform analysis to evaluate risks or opportunities; make recommendations to mitigate these risks.

Manage and provide financial analysis and decision making support for an investment/project in a domain - Ensure ongoing business performance is appropriately monitored and measured, and drive early warning for re-direction of resources with Business Partners.

Provide accurate operational information and advice to support the annual budgeting, rolling forecast and Strategic Planning processes.

Ensure integrity of data provided by commercial teams, and provides value added; provides recommendations on forecast accuracy improvement.

Provide well managed and quality financial analysis in order to improve business case proposals and profitability tracking.

Continually improve and streamline existing management reporting processes and support the definition and implementation of lean processes to meet the changing demands of the business.

May supervise the performance and development of a small team of BPA specialists.

Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt - Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable).

Minimum Requirements
University degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, economics or related field.

Demonstrated ability in Finance or Accounting.

Previous Experience With Development Or Other Functional Controlling Preferred.
Strong financial controlling skill-set, functional know-how and excellent analytical skills attention to details, ability to develop a constructive and challenging dialogue with Functional Areas.

Understanding complexity of pharmaceutical industry in general and the matrix of Novartis.

Demonstrate leadership skills in driving processes across teams and ability to influence others.

Strong technical knowledge of current financial systems like SONAR, SAP and BPC desired.

Solid process management capabilities to standardize and streamline processes.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact within a matrix organization.

Proficiency in English (Both written and spoken), Spanish and other languages would be an asset.

Reporting to the Business Operations Global Director in Buenos Aires, the Business Analyst & Revenue Strategy will act as the vital connector between business stakeholders, departments, and the internal data team — translating complex business needs into clear requirements and ensuring the design and deployment of powerful, automated dashboards and reports that drive informed decision-making and enable scalable growth across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in pipeline to realized revenue forecasting and AM productivity reporting.
  • Build and maintain predictive models to support revenue forecasting and business planning.
  • Partner with FP&A and Sales Ops to align forecasts with financial targets and strategic priorities.
  • Assist in reporting of project actuals, remaining contract value, sales and gross margin, and member data by portfolios to support ADPs.
  • Contribute to the development of portfolio reporting packages including sales, delivery, and financial metrics.
  • Support incentive plan build-outs aligned with new portfolio models.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations that provide clear visibility into performance metrics, trends, and running forecasts.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across all reporting outputs.
Business Intelligence Translation
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the internal Data Team.
  • Translate business reporting needs into structured BI requests and support the deployment of automated reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate on data architecture and visualization strategies to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Enable AI integration across systems to enhance reporting and analytics.
Strategic Analysis & Insights
  • Handle ad hoc reporting requests to enable MIS team to focus on system development.
  • Act as a business analyst in MIS dashboard development initiatives.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on revenue performance and market trends.
  • Provide recommendations on business forecasting models.
  • Support scenario planning and impact analysis for strategic initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as a cross-functional resource bridging Business Operations, Finance, and MIS teams to build models, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Handle ad hoc reporting requests to enable MIS team to focus on system development.
  • Support executive presentations and strategic reviews with data-driven insights.
  • Support Role5 project with rate and burden analysis.
  • Assist in building pricing models and tools.
  • Revamp Aditi One calculations and incentive structures.
  • Work closely with Sales, Finance, HR, and Delivery teams to gather inputs and validate assumptions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Revenue Operations, or FP&A roles.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and Excel.
  • Experience working with SQL and collaborating with data engineering teams.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational dynamics and growth levers.
  • C1 Advanced English Level
  • Experience with B2B sales cycles, especially in the IT sector (e.g., software, cloud services, consulting, staffing).
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in a global or matrixed organization.
  • Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP).
