*What you'll do *
- People Leadership: Drive and manage the performance of product leaders, providing coaching, development and mentoring to ensure their successful leadership of the product managers; Set clear expectations for effective talent management and hold subordinate managers accountable for goal-setting, honest employee evaluations, and the incorporation of actionable development plans.
- Market Opportunity Assessment: Provide thought leadership and oversight for overall Market Understanding on products and product lines directly managed and others as consulted; Oversee on-going market validation through review and testing of concepts with existing and prospective customers (voice of customer, customer advisory boards, etc.) to ensure maintained competitive advantage.
- Product Definition: Demonstrate understanding of portfolios and each leaders execution of product definition and opportunity prioritization; Consult on commercial model and packaging decisions.
- Product Strategy & Planning: Create the vision and develop the strategy for product portfolios; Articulate the strategy across the organization and ensure alignment with key stakeholders; Drive Build, Buy, Partner approach and decisions for the products, product lines, & product portfolios within purview.
- Product Delivery & Launch: Provide partnership and guidance throughout the product delivery process to ensure strong collaboration with a vast array of teams including product development, pricing, product marketing, legal, billing and delivery teams; Articulate product trade-offs across portfolio and drive alignment.
- Growth & Portfolio Management: Demonstrate customer-focused innovation, and provide leadership that enforces a customer-first mindset and performance; Provide thought leadership and approach for assessment and planning of the portfolio's future strategy.
What Experience You Need
- Bachelor's degree and at least 10+ years of Product Management related experience; Graduate degree preferred; Product Management certifications is a plus.
- 5+ years of building and leading high-performing Product teams, overseeing the full talent lifecycle from onboarding to fostering a positive work environment that promotes retention and growth; Demonstrates passion about empowering team members through continuous coaching, mentoring, and tailored development programs, and consistently demonstrates the ability to proactively manage capacity and resources to ensure optimal productivity and successful project delivery.
- Demonstrates a strong influential leadership style, leading teams in a highly matrixed environment required, working cross-functionally to drive innovation, prioritization and go-to-market strategies to deliver financial growth across product portfolios containing multiple products.
- Expert in cloud-based products and services, demonstrating an understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure, and deployment models.
- Mentors teams to write detailed product requirements and demonstrates a solid understanding of product design, commercial model and packaging discussions.
- Experienced in Product tools required.
- Expert in Design Thinking for innovation is a plus (Use creative design thinking to develop innovative business solutions. Apply creative and analytical tools to develop real solutions for real needs, including personas, empathy mapping, prototyping and iteration models).
- Demonstrates deep understanding of customer needs through market and industry research and analysis of competitors

The General Manager of Product Management, Learning & Professional Development role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams including our consulting, engineering, product marketing, sales, and delivery teams to ensure alignment with the company’s goals and objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Define and articulate the product vision and strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for innovation.
- Develop and maintain an external product roadmap that outlines the future direction and features of the product portfolio.
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product management team.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative and high trust team culture.
- Set clear goals and performance expectations for the team.
- Product Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch analysis.
- Ensure timely delivery of products through effective project management and coordination with engineering teams.
- Monitor and analyze product performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to optimize product features and performance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with consulting, Korn Ferry Institute, engineering, design, marketing, sales, and delivery teams to ensure cohesive product development and launch strategies.
- Communicate product strategy, progress, and key decisions to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Gather feedback from customers, consultants, sales teams, and other stakeholders to continuously improve products.
- Financial and Business Acumen:
- Manage the product budget, including forecasting, allocation, and tracking of resources.
- Develop pricing strategies and business models to maximize profitability and market penetration.
- Evaluate and manage product risks and opportunities to ensure business objectives are met.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Drive innovation by staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Continuously look to improve the processes and tools the product management teams engage with to increase product management efficiency and effectiveness.
- Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the product management team.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and launching products in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in product management tools and methodologies.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of the industry and market trends relevant to the company’s products.
- Ability to influence and drive change across the organization.
- Strong customer focus and a passion for creating value through innovative products.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
