Task Description

• Design and develop software applications for our customers in the fields of digital products, green coding / sustainability, evaluation and development of AI copilots for software development, connected and self-driving cars, Internet of Things, in-car-app development, digital twin, modern medical technology and digitalization.
• Work on pathbreaking applications such as tangible digital products, networked and automated driving, the Internet of Things, Car2Car communication, the digital city, virtualized medical technology, and the digitization of our customers’ development processes.
• Actively improve our software development process, and contribute your implementations to deliverables as part of an agile team.
• Realize industrial and research-driven projects from the initial idea to the concept phase and implementation up to the point of validation and rollout with our customers.
• Coordinate our interdisciplinary projects in close cooperation with our customers.

Basic Qualifications

• Master’s degree with top marks in Computer Science, Informatics, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar discipline, preferably with a PhD.
• Basic knowledge of SQL Databases.
• Proficiency in software development, either in Java or in C# or in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Skills in one of the popular frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.
• Initial experience with the containerized deployment of such applications in cloud environments like Azure, AWS, or Cloud Foundry.
• Excellent command of the English language and technical terminology.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good command of the German language.

The Software Engineer will be involved in the development of functionally rich, robust and user-friendly mobile applications, following through all stages of the Agile software development life cycle from inception to implementation. The developer will collaborate on a cross-functional team including UX Design, QA and other engineers in the implementation of core back-end services, and the growth of best practices and technological advancements. We're looking for a top-notch, passionate Software Engineer. As part of this role, you need to understand and analyze heavy usage applications` architecture and their performance including getting deep understanding of the business workflows behind them. The next step after understanding the challenge's scope is to design, build (hands-on) the suggested solution, test and deploy it to production. All done in continuous development and deployment environment. Now you will need to guide and help developers across multiple teams adopt your solution. The Impact You'll Make

• Design and implement major aspects of the architecture of an applications, including components such as infrastructure, backbone services and user interface
• Lead by example the development of modules for a high-end product that serves billions of transactions a day
• Design and develop viable solutions for various systems and architectures to different types of Innovid business aspects
• Deploy your solutions to production in a continuous manner
• Be responsible for the well-being of Innovid applications in production
• Work with R&D managers to define, prioritize and finalize development standards
• Oversee the Design Process for Application Software
• Provide technical training, support, and training to R&D developers

What You'll Bring to Us

• Advanced student in computer science or a related discipline
• +4 years of software development experience
• Experience with the development of online, cloud based SaaS products
• Strong analytical, creative, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Understanding of design and production procedures and standards to create prototypes and finished products
• Experience with Linux in a production environment
• Experience with large scale performance issues and database work
• Experience with Microservices architecture and implementation
• Experience with web server or client side development – an advantage
• Experience in Java, Scala, JavaScript, Phyton (Angular, React and ) – an advantage
• Must have a passion for technology and quality
• Good analytical and communication skills
