How will you contribute to our magical experience?:

The Software Engineer will join the System Engineering & Integration team within Disney's Media Engineering organization to help build a platform that enhances testing and integration workflows for adjacent development teams. This platform will focus on automated data validation and ensuring integration quality prior to production deployments, with an emphasis on scalability, performance, and reliability.

The role involves building backend applications primarily in Java and/or Python, working with cloud technologies (AWS), and implementing automated workflows using orchestration tools like Temporal. The engineer will contribute to resilient backend systems, optimize data processing flows, and ensure high standards in system observability and dependability.

As part of a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, the Software Engineer will engage in the full software development lifecycle—from design and implementation to deployment. The Software Engineer will be responsible for:

The Software Engineer will be involved in the development of functionally rich, robust and user-friendly mobile applications, following through all stages of the Agile software development life cycle from inception to implementation. The developer will collaborate on a cross-functional team including UX Design, QA and other engineers in the implementation of core back-end services, and the growth of best practices and technological advancements.
