Overview

Consultant, Advisors & Consulting Services, Marketing Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard’s data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.

The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Marketing consultants lead the strategy development and implementation of campaigns and engagements for clients, using customer data to provide direct marketing expertise across channels, evaluating results and optimizing marketing performance.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide creative input and support deliverables and workstreams on projects across a range of industries and problem statements
  • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies and activities for regional and global clients by working with technology and data
  • Collaborate with Mastercard team to understand clients’ needs, agenda, and risks
  • Develop working relationship with client analysts/managers, and act as trusted and reliable partner
Team Collaboration & Culture
  • Collaborate with senior project delivery consultants to identify key findings, prepare effective presentations, and deliver recommendations to clients
  • Independently identify issues in defined area of analysis, and structure and synthesize own analysis to highlight relevant findings
  • Lead internal and client meetings, and contribute to project management
  • Contribute to the firm's intellectual capital
  • Receive mentorship from consulting leaders for professional growth and development
Qualifications Basic qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree with work experience focused on one or more of the following fields: marketing content, digital and/or social media campaigns, digital customer experience, digital marketing, offline marketing activities/campaigns, direct response marketing
  • Relevant teamwork, and client, internal stakeholder and/or vendor management experience
  • Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks with multiple clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local office language (if applicable)
  • Eligibility to work in the country where you are applying, as well as apply for travel visas as required by travel needs
Preferred qualifications
  • Additional marketing experience in one or more fields: marketing and campaign experience from agency environment, search engine optimization and search engine marketing, video making (e.g., scripting, storyboard, and content), marketing content, usability labs and experience research, print production management
  • Global supply chain management (GSM), including sourcing new suppliers and assessing third party production vendors
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience managing tasks or workstreams in a collaborative team environment with third parties
  • Ability to identify problems, brainstorm and analyze answers, and implement the best solutions

All About The Role
As a Senior Managing Consultant, you will be a trusted client business advisor, and lead client engagements across a range of industries and types of projects, such as consulting services, Test & Learn, or data and analytics. You will lead engagement teams to best in class insights and project deliverables. Leading the work of the project Advisors & Consulting Services team, you will provide subject matter or industry expertise, be a resource to others to identify creative and efficient solutions, and guide the team to business-focused solutions and recommendations that drive client value.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities within project management will include owning mid- to senior-level client relationships and proactively engaging in the client agenda, internal culture, and relationship risks. As a strong people manager, you will mentor and coach junior teammates outside of direct engagement teams, and engender effective contribution to Mastercard’s knowledge management and best practices.

Your Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or master’s degree and tenured work experience after completing your undergraduate degree
  • Experience in a consulting organization as a consultant
  • Experience directly managing multiple people across multiple projects
  • Experience as a people manager
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills and ability to structure analyses to form data-driven solutions to ambiguous client challenges
  • Exposure specifically in payments and / or retail banking or merchants preferred
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English and the local office language(s)
  • Demonstrated ability to own and develop relationships with both mid- and executive-level client contacts and inspire confidence in Mastercard as a sought-after partner
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and balance thought with action while getting the most out of limited resources
  • Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required, SQL / data expertise preferred
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of which they are applying for a position in, as well as eligible to apply for travel visas as required by travel needs
